Hello

I have a hp dv9000 laptop which does not want to boot win vista.

I have reinstall win vista 4 times and it works perfect and then after couple restart I get stuck on the start up process. It says "Starts windows normally" and when i click that i get windows loading screen and then it restarts again.

I have done hard drive test which gave no errors. Also I have installed win 7 which gave same problem.

I installed xp which was working fine but the audio is not supported on xp pro. I think win xp would give same start up problem after couple restarts.

Hi did you get all the drivers required ? have you tested the ram with memtest 86 +

Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
have you used the hdd makers diagnostic tool or even seatools for dos

I will do the mem test as soon as i can. I only used the built in hdd tested from the bios. Can you tell me other way i can try to test my hdd.

And also would bad mem cause that problem
