The other day i was in a hurry and grabbed the wrong ac adapter for my laptop. It plugged right in and the blue led light came on on the side. The laptop would not start up. only the battery light would flicker. after scratching my head for 10 mins, i noticed that the adapter was a 17v ac output. I replaced the mobo with a known good one. It powered on but nothing happens. just the screen lights up. I went through to make sure everything was hooked up and it was.
My question is do you think it fried the processor,memory,hd's, or anything else. even maybe the screen. One stupid mistake and this happens.
Any help would be appriciated.
I dont wanna go buying spare parts cause it adds up quick.

You can try stripping down the laptop to bare essentials (i.e mobo, ram, lcd, power ON switch.. remove all the others). Remove one if symptoms are the same during power ON. As for the RAM and CPU a temporary replacement may be needed for testing purposes.
