Hi all,
Thanks for reading, I have a problem which I don't understand. We have a HD enabled Toshiba Regza 32" TV in our front room. Since my HP DV9000 has an HDMI out I figured I would connect them together to watch some films and stuff. However, when I connect it I just get a BSOD and the laptop crashes. The HDMI port is not the problem, my Xbox 360 works fine through it. I contacted HP and they were extremely unhelpful perhaps suggesting I replace my cable. I then gave up on it, concluded it was just a fault with the HDMI out and just watched the films on my laptop.
However, at Christmas I recieved a 26" Samsung so that I could play my Xbox in my room. It is also HD enabled and I connect my Xbox via an HDMI cable. On a whim, I tried to connect my laptop and it worked perfectly. I watched an entire film with zero hiccups and was basically impressed at how well it worked.
So basically, how come it doesn't work on the front room TV?
Thanks
