I was online, a security threat warning came up and my notebook crashed and since then can't reboot. I had two hdds (100gb). When I performed hdd selft test, primary hdd failed and secondary hdd passed. However, when I move this second hdd to my problem HP notebook, it still doesn't boot. Please help...

If you were doing an illegal install by using the disk that came with the other computer, then the drivers will not match.you cannot install the operating system in one computer and move it to another and expect it to work. Different computers, different drivers, different hardware.

"Make sure any hard disk drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer and that any disk related h/w configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or setup program"
The main reason I connected to another notebook is to make sure the hdd is ok and didn't fail. Please suggest...
