Look for the service manual from hp for your model, they have pdf files that show how to take it apart. Think they call them service and maintainance manuals.
HP dv7-1245dx screen disassembly and replacement
I recently broke my screen on my hp dv7-1245dx laptop. I am pretty computer savoy and was wondering if any knew how to disassemble this screen in order to put a new one in???? I found a screen that makes it worth the cost to replace. I do not want to pay for someone to repair it when I know that if someone can get me started, then i can do it myself. Please, if anyone has any ideas it would be a great help!
