When turning on my laptop, I have no display -- just a grey-blue screen. I can here the logon sounds and the and the hard-drive light indicates activity.

I don't really know what to do. I've tried booting it while continuously hitting the F10 key, the F2 key, and the F8 key (wasn't sure it should have been just the F10 key until reading a thread in this forum). I've also tried switching from LCD->TV and also LCD->VGA but with no change.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do you get a display image when hooked up to an external monitor or television?
Is the screen illuminated or very dim?
