My mom got a old iBook g3 for $20 and i don't know how to work it all. It doesn't have a internet browser and there is no way of putting one on. I tried a usb, ftp server, and cd but the quicktime player keeps saying there not enough memory for some reason. The airport card doesn't work either. It doesn't find the ip address of my cable modem. I don't know what to do. ibook g3 clamshell with mac os 9.1 installed. 8 gb of hard disk space and 128 mb of ram

Sorry, but it's a museum piece. I wouldn't pay $20 for it unless it was one of the green ones that glows under a black light.
With that said, how much free hard drive space does it have? Also, are you sure that Internet Explorer or Netscape aren't on it? They both came standard on it. Did you do a find command to look for them?
it has 8 gb of FREE space
Does it have an 8 Gb hard drive, or does it have a bigger hard drive with 8Gb of free space? 8Gb was about the biggest size of hard drive they came with.
What are you doing that QuickTime is coming up? What web browser are you trying to put on it? iCab is the only browser that is somewhat up to date, and that was January of 2008.
