hi friends,

I have one toshiba laptop, its CD Drive is not working properly..and now i want to install fresh xp..in my hard disk D drive XP installation copy is ther...how i can install from H.D.D....plz help me

You will need to get another cd rom drive to install xp windows.

Nope, you need to install xp using the cd.
there is another method also but its more complicated,
you could run the xp installation from a usb stick if the laptop has the option
of usb boot device in bootup in bios.

actually its a old computer..model no toshiba 1800-100..its my office system....in my H.D.D D partition all files( all files xp installation CD)......floppy drive also is there in my computer and i have one 98 bootable flopy disk...is it possible through that bootable flopy load the system and run that copied xp?

This copied XP you refer to is this from the factory and is a bootable Ghost image on a hidden partition?

i just copied all files from xp bootable cd that i have to my D partition
