hey i bought a cold cathode light from maplin and i'm wondering how i install it. do i require an inverter to power it? or is a simple connect to psu job. Also how do i power an extra fan. any help would be great

The kit has everything you need, you should have been supplied with the inverter. Mount your lights on the top and bottom next to your motherboard, mount the inverter and switch where you can find the room. Connect the invertrr to the psu. As for the fan, if you have additional fan connections on your motherboard use them. Otherwise get a molex Y cable and run it off the psu.

nope i just got the cathode tube with no inverter. it has a three pin socket thing with just the two wires going into it.

If you bought just a light and you don't already have the complete kit then you're going to need it. Theres no way to just connect a light to the psu and have it work.
