I like a clean uncluttered desktop environment, light blue background, silver borders etc ....

Does anyone know how to change the GREEN startbutton into another color ?

Go here and download a theme of your choosing. But before you install one of their themes you need to download the patcher that they offer.
Just read and follow the instructions exactly as they are written and you can have yourself a nice replacement for that Windows theme that your using.

More info on the color change and the text button. Looks like it could be dangerous!! "Danger! whooooooo!"

It seems to have references to the same software Speedo is pointing you towards. I am thinking hacking the explorer.exe with their software is about the only I have found so far to do what you want.

don't look any further, I will cover the button with a silver colored sticker,
no problem, my tft has a protecting glassplate !
