I am trying to run Active Web Cam software that uses a USB camera and creates a webpage to poststreaming video using http port 8080. if i log to the internal ip of that computer i am able to see the video fine with no problems. now if i want to send the video on the internet i need to forward that port from my static ip to the local ip address. I tested this at home and it works fine. however in my office it doesnt work. i have verizon westel 6100 modem that is only working as a modem bridged to a linksys wrt54g router that works as the dhcp server and then the computer is connected to it. I have dissabled the modem firewall, the router firewall, windows firewall and norton firewall, i have routed the port 8080 on the router to the ip of the computer with the software and still am not able to see that port. I tryied telnet to test the port but icant see it. i use pcflank and it says that the port is stealth. SO I cant find the firewall that is blocking it. what to do now? how could i find out whats blocking my pc from the internet? I even tryied using dmz on both the router and the modem to see if unblocking all ports would do the trick. any suggestions?
