In Vista, it is possible to change the default format (16000 Hz, etc) for a set of speakers or a headset by going into the Speaker Properties of the device and clicking on the Advanced tab.
I've tried looking everywhere for a way to do this in XP, but haven't found anything yet. Is it possible, and if so, how do it do it?
