I found out that you can have to websites on one server with something called a virtual server. How do you set this up?

I have Apache2Triad
I have www.djaikou.com
I might get a 2nd domain if I can figure out how to do this.

Hey Michelangelo,

Well it is possible to host two websites through one computer. Are you using your own domain or dyndns.org ... I remember dyndns.org has a redirection service but it costs a bit of money.

Have a fun and computing day,
Grove :cool:

I'm studying for A+ right now, and after that I want to study Network Administration. I may get into the web hosting business someday. So if anyone knows how I can set up 2 websites on 1 comp. (^_^)v

P.S. I'm only in chapter 3, but I have gotten 95% on the past couple quizes.

Nevermind below the = line. I found out how to use BOTH VirtualHost and Redirect so I don't need the meta tag

==========================================
That helped quite a bit, but there is still one thing I don't get...

Neither VirtualHost nor Redirect can let me send http://forums.djaikou.com to http://vanadielportal.proboards29.com

However, I made a folder called /forums/index.html on my server and set the index with a Meta redirect. Even though it gets there, there is still a lagging time where the index is shown. :(
