how do you access web sharing controls from terminal, using SSH. I wish to use an old G3 as a web server for a blog, but i realized after modifing code for the page i can't access the web sharing controlls from terminal.

-I forgot its an OS 10.1.3 box

You can use apachectl to control web sharing. The man page has information about all of the arguements that you can give it. So you can start it with 'sudo apachectl start'

o.k. thanks, i was just going to be lazy and use the default web sharing stuff, but I realize for a young linux guru i must get my but and stop being lethargic. I will install apache, (I already know how to use apache from terminal) I have a 486 running apache but I am moving all web services to a G3 in my room.
