how do i connect ps2 to internet??

go pick up a ps3 metal gear solid 4 bundle, it has wireless plus the single player will keep you occupied for days

But he has a PS2.

I am trying to figure out exactly what I need to do to connect my children's ps2 to the net. I have a lap top with a wireless air card for my internet, so no router... Can you instruct me from here. Oh, I saw some instructions regarding some kind of disk that may have came with the ps2 that is needed. I don't recall having one, is there something on the net I can download, or where my I be able to find one.

I am trying to download new songs for the guitar hero world tour. and also don't know much about that.. Any help would me great appreciated.....

Your going to have to make an ICS(internet connection sharing) connection with the laptop and a crossover network cable plugged between the 2. This may work to D/L the music but I think it will be too slow for gaming online.

ok thanks, I can go buy a router if i need one I just wansnt sure if i could connect my computer to a router since i have a verizon wireless air card as my internet. would i use the same cable with the router, that is if i can use a router.

Do you have anything else to hook if not then the crossover will do the same thing and since the laptop would become the router all you need to buy is the cable, to add a router you would need 2 standard patch cables and would have to disable DHCP in the router.

i dont think you can download guitar hero songs to a ps2........ 360,Wii and PS3 only


it sounds like its time to upgrade to a 360 or ps3, do it for your children
