Hi Friends:

Recently, I built a Computer with the following:

- Intel DX58SO Extreme Series X58 ATX Tri-Channel DDR3 16GB SLI or CrossFireX LGA1366 Overclocking Utility Desktop Board - Retail
- Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz 8M L3 Cache 4.8GT/sec QPI Hyper-Threading Turbo Boost LGA1366 Processor
- Corsair TR3X6G1600C8D Dominator 6 GB 3 x 2 GB PC3-12800 1600MHz 240-Pin DDR3 Core i7 Memory Kit
- Western Digital 300GB Sata HDD 10K RPM (Retail)
- WDC WD1001FALS-00J7B0
- WDC WD500KS
- EVGA 02G-P3-1185-AR GeForce GTX285 2048 MB DDR3 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card- Lifetime Warranty
- CORSAIR 750w TX Series 80 Plus Certified Power Supply
- Cooler Master HAF 932 High Air Flow ATX Full Tower Case Black
- Samsung SuperWrite Master DVD/CD
- OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bits
- BIOS: SOX5810J.86A.4405.EB

ok...here is my problem...I notice delays when I try to print or open and close applications...and I notice too that into the BIOS Setup...my MB has the following:

Drive Configuration
ATA/IDE Mode: Native
Configure SATA as: IDE <---when should be AHCI

ok...when I change this setting AHCI...and try to boot my computer....it is crashing...and to back to IDE

What do you recommend me to fix this delays problem?

Thanks

AHCI won't cause the problem that you are seeing.

Printing and app issues would lead me to believe there is an OS issue. But I don't know how you could go about troubleshooting. You may get a better response in the Win7 forum.

Do you have the most up to date drivers installed for the printer?
