tell me what you think of this motherboard http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=96339 do you think its reasonably priced? and what about the fact that its ASUS? also what are the PCI Express x1 slots for? any more information on this motherboard and how well it will perform is much appreciated. One more thing if you wanna recommend a better/cheaper motherboard it needs to be PCI-E and socket 754

That board must be new...never heard of an nForce4 socket 754.

That's great news for someone who has or can get a good deal on a 754 CPU.

All things being equal, I would however lean heavily toward socket 939 for future exspansion purposes.

Regards,
JF

yes i have a skt 754 processor, 3000+ athlon 64 so i dont really wanna upgrade that yet. and i have got a 6600GT agp at the moment so i am purchasing that mobo to go PCI-E (im getting a 7800Gtx yay) the upgrade is gonna cost me £350 already so i dont wanna spend say another £200 on a new processor aswell. That will make £550 which is 5 1/2 months saving. Also as i said before 'anymore recommendations?' although i did only find 2 PCI-E and 754 mobo's on that website!

sorry i said 754 remember? thx for your help anyway, i just thought of another thing, i want 4 ddr slots so if someone could find me virtually the same motherboard but witha nother ddr slot then that would be gr8. i guess the only question not answered is 'what are PCI-E x 1 slots for?'
