Hello!

Everything was working fine a day ago and then all of sudden I keep getting this error:

'Your Message Cannot Be Displayed Right Now'

It is intermittent, sometimes I can view my emails sometimes not. This is happening to all three of my hotmail accounts. I thought Microsoft was having server issues at first. I looked up the error and I didn't find any fixes that would work me. One says to 'verify' your account. Not really sure what it means and have not found a way to do that in hotmail.

Any help is greatly appreciated! :D

Thanks.

Update to outlook.com. You'll still have your Hotmail, but you'll be able to verify. See these links.

Update From Hotmail
Many thanks Corday! I think that did the trick! (I opened each account and then ran that tool and I guess it 'verified' them. Not sure what it actually did or why it was causing that error) Will keep an eye on it and let you know.

Some questions though from an old school IT guy that likes to know why:
  • Why wasn't I prompted logging in instead of having to use that tool?
  • Why is it intermittent?
  • Why now?
  • I went to the Microsoft site and couldn't find any relevant fixes
  • And there was no way to contact anyone! Thank god I found this site

I can't be the only person having this problem.

Thanks again! :D

Try either a different browser or clear cookies in the current one.

Tried that already but tried again just to be thorough, same thing (Use Chrome but tried IE. Cleared all history on Chrome yesterday):
  • Logged into an account, received error message
  • Logged out and back in again and it worked
  • Now that doesn't always work but it does sometimes

Thank you for the continued assistance. (y)

Let's see what happens after today's patch Tues. updates. If you installed the preview version, it's been causing problems, but not particularly the one you're having.

Updates are available now. Just to make sure, you're not using Microsoft Exchange are you?

As stated, remove the Adobe Flash Player Extension in your Chrome Browser. Try this Uninstall Tool https://www.chromefans.org/chrome-t...yer-from-chrome-firefox-internet-explorer.htm
Do Not Reinstall.
That link to download is dead:

Font Electric blue Logo Rectangle Brand

So I went to this link and followed the steps (ran the uninstall tool first):

  • C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash - Couldn't find this on my laptop

  • C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash - Found Macromend directory and completely removed it
  • %appdata%\Adobe\Flash Player - Couldn't find this on my laptop
  • %appdata%\Macromedia\Flash Player- Couldn't find this on my laptop

I rebooted my machine, same error.

NOTE: I tested this on my PC just to rule out OS (PC is XP), same issue.
