Hello there,

I'm normally pretty good with computers, I have built several computers and understand how they work and have never had a problem I haven't been able to fix. Up until today that is, I've been trying to get my head around how to fix this all day and have had no luck so I'm coming to you guys.

My laptop is used primarily for music, I am a DJ and a producer, so sound is what I need out of the laptop. The thing is, many of the basic drivers have incredibly high execution times which makes real-time audio impossible with pops and clicks every few seconds. Here's a screenshot of the execution times in question.

As you can see, the topmost ones are very high and NDIS.sys actually peaks above 1ms.

I've been trying to figure out how I can lower them to more acceptable times (below 0.01) but can't figure it out for the life of me.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello Omegastick and welcome to TSF,

I am sorry it took so long to reply to your thread.

Could you provide us with your laptop's specifications? (Brand and Model min)

I would also like you to attempt a clean boot to be sure that it isn't a software issue.

  • Run msconfig.
  • On the Services Tab, check the Hide all Microsoft Services box.
  • Then click on Disable All.
  • Navigate to the Startup tab and click on Disable All
  • Apply the changes and reboot the system.

Does this resolve the issue?
