I can hear my hard drive working away even though I wasn't running any programs so thought it might be something going on, online. However, disconnecting from the internet made no difference. When checking the CPU it was showing 90 - 100%

If I check my trend pc-cillen firewall logfiles they are showing hits almost several times every minute.

I have included the current logfile. It's been doing this for a few weeks according to the logs. It's an 'always on' broadband connection.
Fujitsu, Windows XP, Pentium 4, 3.00GHz, 1.00GB RAM,

Thanks, Ken

Are you using torrents?
Many connections are cross border telecom connections.

Thanks, yes I'm using Supanet ADSL and on previous logs there appears to be a huge number of hits every day. As for hits when disconnected, I'm sure it was logging them earlier but I'll check on that again.

At the moment there is no sounds of activity from the hard drive but the log is still showing hits every few minutes. Seems like a lot of hits in a 24 hour period?

I run spybot regularly and AVG anti spyware daily but only spybot is set to monitor all the time. Microsofts standard spyware thing is running and also trends firewall and spyware. The last reports only show low risk cookies and I get no pop ups.

Are you using torrents? Many connections are cross border telecom connections.
I'm sorry but I don't know what these are?

Thanks, Ken

Still registers hits even when off line. The cpu usage will often shoot up to 90 -100%
I also get long periods when the hard drive is just clicking away like mad, like when its running a full virus check, which it's not, what would cause that?

Even clicking on explorer to open a new webpage sends it up to 40 - 50 %
I can hear the fan working overtime as well :4-dontkno

Thanks, Ken
