hi all i bought a new laptop running windows 7


so i went online and found the drivers for win 7 for my lexmark x4580


i click to install it starts the process the bars go up for percentage complete etc then says complete and program closes, but normal from the past with installing on another vista machine it then goes through a check etc to double check the wireless connection etc


ive tried 4 times now even restarting, im stuck and have a printer i cannot use

any ideas?

I assume you are getting the driver from here: http://support.lexmark.com/index?pa...ARK_X4580&segment=DOWNLOAD&userlocale=EN_US#2

I've never had any luck with Lexmark, and if you are having the same issue on two PC's, I'd suspect a driver issue.

yes from the lexmark site, its only on this new win 7 machine i am having problems

You could try contacting Lexmark, but I'd just suspect an issue with the driver.
