i have a toshiba sattelite 300 thing is i had a corrupted file and wanted to format back to factory settings.now the thing is ive tried everything but cant get the option to take it back to factory settings up.i dont have a recovery disc either.ive tried holding 0 down when restarting but nothing comes up.it just seems to be missing that part.im getting fustrated.can any one help me pleaseeeeee:sigh:

Hello razorcraig and welcome to TSF,

If I am correct, Toshiba didn't offer recovery media for a period of time with Vista and this was one of the models from that time. You were required to create a recovery media with a tool that was included.

I would contact Toshiba and inquire about aquiring a recovery DVD for your computer. If it is available, there will likely be a small charge, but much less than purchasing a retail Windows DVD.
