I am having a problem with my laptop. It won't boot. It is telling me "load needed DLLs for kernel. I can't get to windows at all. I can get to dos. I need to know how to flash the bios so that it would read the cd rom. I am trying to fix it or set it back to factory settings. I just can't seem to get it to boot. I have an evon1020v. Can someone give me some advice on how to fix it.

That didn't work! HP/Compaq was no help. Unlucky me! Out of warranty. Anyone have anymore suggestions. Should I format the harddrive.

I would reformat. But use the restore disks and not the os disk.

I would not recommend cross posting. Check the other thread, I have given you a solution that i'm pretty sure will fix your problem.
