Well, i have an older system running windows 95 and i am trying to add a hard drive. The bios detects the drive as the secondary slave but the drive doesn't show up in windows 95 when i go to my computer. Am I forgetting something? I was going to reformat it because I got it from my computer teacher but it won't come up in windows. Anything would be great.

You need to run fdisk and format it. That is the only way for Windows to recognize it in the system.

Just make sure you fdisk the right drive by selecting which drive you want with option 5.

If you have any questions on this post here!..;)
Ah Speedo that brings back the memories doesn't it!

The glorious fdisk - daunting but a ***** cat in the right hands.
