Alright I am new with Vista and I am trying to figure out a few things that XP has and what appears Vista lacks. Can these problems be fixed/change in Vista or is that just the way it is?
1. Explorer toolbar, right now it sucks, in XP when you opened a folder there was toolbar with changable icons on it like copy , paste, delete, up one folder and print, you could arrange them in any order you wanted. On my Vista computer I get nothing nada, the only choice I have is to lock the toolbar, no customization menu. I dislike the way you have to copy, paste or delete items in Vista by using the right mouse button and scolling down to the task you want to do.
2. Ability to view pictures. In XP when I open a folder with pictures in it I could see the actual photo if I chose the option to view as thumbnails. In Vista I open a folder with pictures in it I get some generic icon that is the same for all pictures, I can however change the size of the thumbnail to a different size which I actually like. Not seeing the actual photo is a pain when trying to upload picture to a photo sharing site.
So is it possible to change the way Vista displays pictures when I open a folder.
And last for now.
MY ICONS ARE HUGE, well bigger than they were in XP. My desktop shortcut icons take up a lot of space, mopre than they did in XP. I tried to change the DPI but lowest is 96 DPI. I have a a decent video card and it is set to max resolution and 32 bit. So is this another one of Vista's little annoyances?
Thanks
