Hi,

I recently switch to a new hard drive. Windows installed fine. When I try to install the audio driver it says "You must be logged on to the PC as an administrator to install this update." But I AM the administrator.

I have windows xp pro sp2

i have no clue on how to fix this.

Hi there

Just to make sure, the Administrator has all the admin privileges.

Have you logged in as Admin or are you using a different user account with all the admin privileges assigned?

Go to Start > Run> type: nusrmgr.cpl and hit enter
On the next screen, what does it read under your login userame?
Can you see a different Administrator account there?

Let us know what you see
