Hello all,
I have a quick question regarding a dell motherboard. I am changing the case for my wifes dell to put an additional cd-rom in it as well as a hard drive. The control panel on the dell motherboard is a one plug assembly which is different from the one on the new tower which are individual for power switch, hdd light, speaker, etc. Can anyone help point me the right direction on how to go about connecting these to the motherboard.Or does anyone know where I can find a diagram on how to run the wiring. Thanks you............

From my expereince you are out of luck trying to convert. You could contact dell and see if they will sell you a case with and extra cd rom bay. Or just buy a fire wire external cd rom.

Sorry I know that was not to much help

Sell PC's cheap. Trick the customer into frying the motherboard ( hopefully after the warranty has expired ). Charge mulla for repair. :hit:
I recently ran into this issue, as I installed a ECS K7S5A in a 3 year old Gateway case. Basically, I experimented until the power button worked. Don't really need anything else :]
As cheep as computer parts are I would just buy a new mother board. Their cheep!

Go ahead and say it guys..... You would!
