Try going to start > settings > control panel > power management. You should be able to change the settings there.
Help on 'stand-by' button
i accidently disabled the 'stand by' function on my comp. i have windowsME. i can't figure out how to get this fuction back. i shut it off when an error message popped up. it read:"the stand-by function on your computer caused some errors. disable it? yes no" i clicked yes. ooops. i hope you can help me get it back.

the only option under the dropdown menu for "when i press the sleep button on my computer:" is shut down, there is no stand by option.

the stand-by function on your computer caused some errors. disable it?
a corrupted video driver will cause that error....see if you can update it...
