Firstly let me mention i had huge problems with my network card unable to find it at first (meaning it wasn't listed under device manager) but then update Bios to F6 and suddenly it returned to Device manager but when i try and connect it to a network, there's no lights coming out of the ethernet port neither is there a light on the switch.

I have a gigabyte motherboard G41M-ES2L.
I have downloaded all the latest drivers etc
I have already formatted my pc
I have already set the speed and dublex to something else (actually tried them all)
I went into Bios to see if NIC is enabled. It is indeed.

Please can someone help me?

First off, if the drivers are loaded and not in error, the lack of lights on the ports indicates a hardware issue, so all of the fooling around with software isn't going to fix this. You are saying that the drivers are loaded and the NIC appears in Network adapters with no errors, right?

First off, test the cable and the port on the router with another computer's wired port. If they work properly, my guess is your network port is bad.
