I have a P4 2.4GHZ 533FSB CPU, the temp is always at high 40s under cold boot, and it stays at 50s after 30mins, I wonder if there is anything wrong with the HS and fan? I'm pretty positive that I have installed it correctly, should I go get a thermaltake cooler or is there anything I can do to solve this problem, thanks for the help.

But I was told the normal operating temp for P4 chips is at high 30sm wouldn't my cpu tem be too high then?johnwill said:Personally, I don't believe that running around 50C is a problem, that's the way it works. If it doesn't climb significantly, I'd stop worrying about it and do some computing.
