Is your machine making any weird beeps on startup?

It could be overheating which is causing it to lock up because normally your OS wouldn't cause your bios to lock up.

Check that your fan over your cpu is connected correctly and is venting correctly. Also make sure your PSU is venting correctly (dont have it too close to any walls, curtains etc)

Finally it could be the wall socket your using, sometimes a weird ground loop in your electrical outlet can cause electrical items to go a little weird or it could be some voltage problems. I suggest you take it to another room (well away from your room) and test it on another wall socket
the computer doesnt make any beep or codes or whatever they are, i took ram out and started it up and it made a code. As for overheating i dont know, the panels are off of it and it wasnt running for more than a couple minutes.

Ive tryed different outlets too.

I looked it up on google and read about static eletricity and how it can damage the computer. Is that true, how would i know if it is damaged?

Thanks
