hi, i was wondering if there wase a site like freewebs or something where you can make a website BUT you can download the files for the website to put them on a server....or maybe a good program that you can download a template of the neet and edit it with the program thanks...

Sounds fairly simple. I've just worked on a site that sounds similar to what you are looking for. I would suggest a CMS or shopping cart system like oscommerce, zen cart and cube cart. These allow you to add products and edit pages from an admin back end. The front has all your products along with about/contact pages and allows customers to register and purchase.

I personnally like cube cart but its not open source so you have to pay if you want the latest version. The previous version is free but you have to keep the link in the copyright. The other two are both open source, oscommerce is well supported by its community.

This thread is getting a bit out of order.
Here at TSF, we do not support illegal downloads or anything illegal for that matter.
Many scripts today have special code in their paid versions so that the company knows when one has been uploaded to the internet and can see your legit etc.
Scott, its best if we keep discussions to the forums where others can benefit from this thread in future.

If not, you can risk getting into HUGE trouble for piracy.

If you mean edit cube carts basic pages and simply add info. Then you can edit pages and items via the admin back end.
If you mean edit the way it looks, ie templates. As far as I know theres no *easy* way to edit it. You have to know html/xhtml/css to edit the templates of cube cart and any other shopping cart that I know of.
If you are asking for a website seperate from the shopping cart, then there are "website builders" but as I have no use for them I do not know of any. WYSIWYG editors are another option but they require a little more knowledge and they generally produce poor coding.
