Hi, new here but any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have 2 identical IBM T21 laptops, 1 with no backlight and 1 with a bad motherboard. What would be the best way to combine these into a working laptop. I'm thinking swicthing the entire top hinge section would be the easiest but figured I would ask here first.
Thanks Jason

Welcome to TSF!

Having taken a few ThinkPads apart in my time (fun fun!!) I can attest to the joys of taking them apart and building working setup.

Best thing is to take the largest working pieces and put them, together. Good LCD from one and good mainboard from another. Mix and match mix and match. You CAN take out the flourescent bulb but it's tough... Working with whole pieces is much easier.
