Hi there

Please download Flash Disinfector and save it to your desktop.

  • Double-click Flash_Disinfector.exe to run it and follow any prompts that may appear.
  • The utility may ask you to insert your flash drive and/or other removable drives including your mobile phone. Please do so and allow the utility to clean those drives as well.
  • Wait until it has finished scanning and then exit the program.
  • Reboot your computer when done.
Note: Flash_Disinfector will create a hidden folder named autorun.inf in each partition and every USB drive plugged in when you ran the tool. Do not delete this folder. It will help protect your drives from future infection.

-----------------------------------

Close any open browsers.

Ensure you have disabled all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

Code:
File::
c:\windows\HideWin.exe

Registry::
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\F]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\{e1c2e18c-8887-11df-a3df-806e6f6e6963}]

RegLock::
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000}]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{0BE09CC1-42E0-11DD-AE16-0800200C9A66}]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\Interface\{DDF4CE26-4BDA-42BC-B0F0-0E75243AD285}]
Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe

When finished, it shall produce a log for you at C:\ComboFix.txt which I will require in your next reply

Hi there

All appologies for any delays here. I want you to try and run combofix in normal mode but this time with a slightly different way of running the tool. This time I want you to rename combofix.exe to iexplore.exe prior to running. Once renamed, double click the tool and let me know how things run and post back the resulting log.

Hi Laptopvaio

sjb007 will not be available for a while and he has asked me to help you with your issues.

I'd like to try an alternative method.

Please download Rkill from any one of these links and save it to your desktop.

Rkill.com
Rkill.scr
Rkill.pif

Now double click on Rkill to run it. If the first one doesn't work try the next one.

This will help remove certain processes and should restore any file associations and your desktop. Note: Your system is still infected as Rkill does not delete files - it merely helps to temporarily disable the infections, allowing us to start the cleansing process.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to the following:
    • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    • Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform Quick scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Save it to your desktop.
Note: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware may require a reboot to complete removals. After a reboot, if required, post that saved log in your next reply.
