A friend of mine bought a new motherboard and processor for there computer. I am not sure where they got it but it doesn't have a setup disk or any papers at all. I got it installed but when I tried to start it I had problems. It would go through all the checks but after that it would say "Floppy disk failure" then it asks me to choose safe mode or normal startup then after I choose it will restart and do the same thing all over again. Please help.

Generally after getting a new motherboard/processor it is required that you reinstall windows. It is a driver problem and only fixable by reinstalling. If there are neccessary files you may do a repair install which will leave the files intact).

Hi

If you put the model ID of the mainboard in google you should be able to find a copy of the board manual and the necessary drivers.

Double check the jumpering on the board and the drives and makes sure the drive cables are fitted the right way round - especially the floppy drive cable.

Have you checked to see if the Power Supply is able to support the upgrade?

If it's an OEM version of windows you may hit problems with getting validation - have a read here:-
