Today my laptop has been beeping at my like crazy. Maybe a couple minutes between very loud, piercing beeps, but consistently beeping all day. It's an HP G60-445DX Notebook PC. I've scanned, turned it off, removed the power cord, removed the battery, drained any phantom energy by pusing the power button while unplugged with battery out. I updated Java. I started and restarted. It even makes the noise when it's turned off. Battery is 100% charged and the computer is not hot. What gives?

Can you type the beep codes out?

Example: Beep - Beep - Beeeep (Long Beep) - Beep

This will allow us to tell you what the beep codes mean.

It was just one solid beep maybe a second or two, occurring every 3 minutes. My friend an IT guy looked at my computer, checked the memory last night. At first it continued, but then about 90 minutes later when I returned from some errands it had ceased. Should that be reason for concern? I plan to backup tomorrow.
