I am using Windows XP.
Few days ago, I deleted total 7 video files (eg. filename: 1.mpg, 2.mpg....7.mpg) in my external hard disk thru Windows Explorer. Yesterday, when I tried to play other video file (eg. filename: a.mpg) in the same external hard disk, the video shows the content of one of the deleted file. Since I have a lot of video files in that hard disk, so I played back to check all other remaining video files in the hard disk. The result is all 7 deleted video files are still in the hard disk but exists in/under other filename. (eg. the content of a.mpg became 1.mpg, b.mpg became 2.mpg etc). The fact is Windows deleted my a.mpg, b.mpg instead of 1.mpg, 2.mpg, etc.
Does anybody knows what's wrong with this? Is this a hard disk problem?
Thanks!
