Help! Do I have what it takes??

I need some (ok.. a lot of) help. I want to connect my computer to my TV but I'm not sure if the video card and OS I have will let me. I have looked at some other threads on this but it got confusing so I started a new thread.
I have a Compaq Presario (WindowsME) and a new GeForce4 Mx440 video card as well as an S-Video cable that I can hook up to my TV. I don't care about sound at the moment all I want is the picture. Can anyone tell me what I have to do to get this to work? Or even if I have what I need to do it..?
