I have a Dell D600 and i isn't working. I turned it off one time (and I have done this before and this didn't happen) by holding the power button and wouldn't start.:4-dontkno Now it does 1 of 4 things.
1. I turn it on and the caps lock button flashes and it turns off.
2. It gets starts loading and then freezes.
3. It loads totally, but then freezes.
or
4. It jus freezes right away.
It mostly does number 1, and I have tried letting it cool down, unplugged it overnight and just kept trying to turn it on. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong? ANYTHING HELPS! I have been trying all day!:sigh:

1.Remove cd/dvd rom drive, battery, hard drive, pccard, and disconnect the a/c adapter.
2. Remove the memory and reseat and insert one memory stick at a time in one slot at a time.
3. Hold down the power button for 20 seconds.
4. Plug in the a/c adapter and press the power button and see if you get a post beep with one memory stick.
5. If it POSTs then put in one device at a time until you get a complete boot.
