Hi all,

Is anyone out there aware of how you can use Windows XP to create a primary domain controller? I've tried installing the Windows .NET server administration pack, but somehow it doesn't seem possible to create a PDC in WinXP Pro. I've used the wizard in Win2K server to create a PDC before, but I'm just not sure how to go about it in WinXP. Is it possible? As you can tell, I'm certainly not an expert about this, but I would greatly appreciate any basic or advanced help you could give.

Thanx in advance for your time and response.

To my knowledge both XP's out Pro and Home... do not support creation of that particular system as a PDC, reason being their both geared to be desktop OS's not servers. I know certainly home doesn't have that functionality. You'd need to wait for the forthcoming .Net server 2003 series :(
