HELP!!!! my new computer sufffered a crash. i know just enough to be dangerous, and so i built it, and luckily had little/no problems untill now. after getting various error screens, and after a crash, i saved all my important files onto a second hard drive, one with no o.s. just storage space. anyway, i have win 98 cd and thats it for os. to remove windows, the local company here told me to reboot into ms dos and type del windows. i did this and now i need to get windows back on and i cant do it. please help!!! it wont even recognize my cd rom, i tried D: drive and it says invalid drive or somethin. please help!!

Welcome to the forums, eric! Ok, now calm down and put your Win 98 CD in the drive and restart the computer. It should boot from the CD if it is set correctly in the BIOS. If it does an option to run Windows Setup should come up next. Proceed with setup. If it doesn't post back and we'll try to help further!

If you need a Win 98 Boot disk go here and download one...;)

Click on Boot Disks on the top left of the page...:D

Or you can go here and learn how to do Fdisk and Format...:)
