Hi GUYS I have recently been getting BSOD's and need help to stop them from happening. When they started to happen, I was getting them just randomly, like when I was watching you tube, playing online Tetris, or playing a video game. They were happening seldom at first and are now happening more frequently, sometimes even when idol. I looked up possible solutions and have tried most of them. I have installed new drivers to everything from Audio to the BIOS to my video card and that has seemed to at least slow the BSOD's from happening. Now it seems to only happen when I play my favorite computer game; Starcraft 2. The game will start and sometimes I will even be able to play for a few minutes but then I will get a BSOD. They have progressively changed since the beginning, first I was getting:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
STOP: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, 0x824FE010, 0xA6D69864, 0x00000000)

then

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
STOP: 0x000000c5 (0x802GB0F4, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x8E4E752B)

and now the only two I am getting is more specific,

1.) STOP: 0x0000007E9 0xc0000005, 0x9025CDB6, 0x80E0B448, 0x80E0B144)

dxgkrnl.sys 9062 Address 9025cDB6 base at 90208000 Datestamp 4d383dcl

and

2.) STOP: 0xc0000005, 0x90B263FB, 0x811D08FC, 0x00000000)

SYMTDI.sys- adress 90B263FB base at 90B1C000, datestamp 4991fe27

I should also mention that I was instigating this response (BSOD) to happen by starting up Starcraft 2. Every time I did these two error messages and BSOD's are happening.

Please help! If you have any ideas why this is happening please tell me, and help me to fix it. I beg you.

Okay here it is:

-OS: Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2
-32bit
-the original OS was Vista Service pack 1 I believe (pre installed)(never re-installed)
-Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.00 GHz
-Hardware: HP Pavilion m8300f
-RAM: 4GB
-Video Card: 1024 MB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 465 by EVGA
-Motherboard: Unsure
-PSU: Corsair TX650w

Also I know the health report will say that I have no active virus protection, but it is simply because after the BSOD's I restarted by selective startup to not include start up programs. I Have Norton. Also, Memory diagnostic came back clean. Have not run a hard drive check yet. The files are attached. Thanks

Your Norton products are in need of some updating. A few of your BSOD were caused by Norton. If you are unable to update or if they are already up to date then you will need to uninstall. You can use the Norton Removal Tool to make sure everything get's removed. You may use Microsoft Security Essentials in its place for the time being.

Follow up with running theses tests and report back the results (these are for Win7 but they will work just the same on Vista)
1. Memtest86 - Run for 7-8 passes - RAM - Test with Memtest86+ - Windows 7 Forums
2. Prime95 - Run all three tests for 3-4 hours each or until error - CPU - Stress Test with Prime95 - Windows 7 Forums
3. Hard drive scan using SeaTools
4. Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark - Windows 7 Forums

I appreciate it but have encountered a delay. Now my computer is not even recognizing my cable connection, I double and triple checked to make sure my internet connection was not the culprit. It is not, it works with my XBOX and with my laptop which is what I am using right now. So I can run none of those tests.

Also, i would like to confirm that worse comes to worse that i can do a complete system recovery to save it right? I would really prefer not to do that so I appreciate all your help.

Is there anyway to get my computer back on the internet? Or tests I can run without the internet?
Have you tried booting into safe mode with networking to see if your internet works?

Have you tried uninstalling the network card device from device manager and letting windows reinstall it after a reboot?

I will try that and get back to you. It is even blue screening before windows even starts up now. Do BSOD's usually occur this way? Do they get more frequent like this? What other options do I have if I cannot get onto the internet?

Is it possible for you to run a report and put it on a USB stick and upload the file here so I can see what's going on. Try removing all non-essential things from the computer and see if that helps at all.

I have stabilized my computer to the point where I can run it normally, I did a system restore to a previous point and it seems to have helped but has not solved the problem.

I am also still unable to get onto the internet, it says that it is connected to an unidentified network which is my router/modem. I have tried power cycling, resetting, and connecting the modem directly. I then contacted my ISP to verify that my internet is not malfunctioning and know now that there is something wrong with my computers networking. I did an "IPCONFIG" in the command prompt and found that my laptop recognized the IP but my Desktop did not.

What else can I try to solve my connectivity issues?
