My sister is going through a "war of the roses" type of divorce...her soon to be ex-husband has locked her out of the computer they got for a wedding present ...he is administrator and she is on as guest...she cannot access user accounts to even click on admin to guess at a password....she has access only to a limited online AOL...he is playing hardball...my fear is that he will leave and she will be left with this...he has hidden all recovery disks... we have tried F8 on boot up ...no go ..we have tried Ctrl alt delete to bring up the password...no go...is there something else...please help us...my fondest wish would be the look on his face when she replaces him as admin...LOL...thanks in advance..

Hi Lynda and welcome to TSF.
I'm sorry but the forum rules don't allow us to circumvent passwords. What I suggest you do is get hold of a legitimate copy of Windows, format the hard drive and reinstall Windows.

I totally understand and will do what you suggest...I was just hoping for a less drastic solution but Oh Well ....she will be losing alot of stuff and that will add to her heartbreak...but I believe in Karma...:grin:

that sucks......time to google search. reformatting would lose all of your files and data but you would have a fresh system, then YOU could be the admin.

I agree Age it totally sucks ...he became admin so that he could troll the net for a new lady....I am hoping the thing crashes...or he forgets his password and locks himself out...wouldn't that be sweet....LOL....
