i have an acer aspire 5535 the screen is showing dark and it just stays on that screen until it shuts off sonwhat should i do about the computer if anyone could help me i would appreciated so much

If you shine a light on the screen can you see the a faint image?

-Unplug the power adapter and remove the battery
-Press and hold the power button for 30-45 seconds (with power and battery still removed)
-Insert just the battery and attempt to boot the laptop.
-Insert just the charger and attempt to boot
-Check all RAM to make sure properly seated.
-Check all drives to make sure properly seated.

Hi brittney,

The problem could definitely be the LCD screen, inverter, or the videocard on the computer. I would recommend following the steps that makinu1der2 has provided you. Hopefully everything will work out for you.
