Hello everybody! actually this is the second time i post problems here. the first one has been solved! yay! so now i believe this forum could help and advise me how to solved my second problem. Im sorry if i post it in wrong topic. this problems starts when i first formatting my new brand laptop (dell). then, i reinstall all the program, windows xp pro and everything. unfortunately, in the end, when i tried to open a song (mp3,wav) and movies (rmvb, avi, mpeg, flv, etc), it cannot play at all. it says cannot render file (im using media player classic). (windows media player and windows movie maker also cannot play and use them).firstly, i thought it may have problems with codec. so i download from internet= storm codec. again, it failed. so what should i do now? please give me an advice!!!! sorry for my bad english..

Two things. 1) You don't have the correct codecs installed, which is highly unlikely as mp3 and wav are supported by WMP (Windows Media Player) without any additional codecs needed. 2) The files are corrupt.

Try installing a different player, such as VLC or MPC which use their own codecs. If they can play the files, you have codec issues. If the files still don't play, you have corrupt files.
