[Crash25744]

I'm upgrading a Compaq Presario Cyrix 366. It has a 4 gig HDD and I'm installing a Maxtor 60 gig HDD with a ATA PCI card. I've installed it but Win98SE dowsn't recognize it. When the comp. boots it shows the RAID info. and list the Maxtor HDD but when it gets into Win98 it's not there. Any info would be appreciated.

I'm going to guess that you need to load the driver for Windows to see the Promise card. I know that I have the same situation on this machine, and when installing W2K, I had to load the drivers before I could install W2K, early in the setup.
