k there is something wrong with my secondary internal western digital HDD (40 gigs) it has 2 problems that each occure at different time (about 1 out of every 3 startup for each). I could have my computer on and it reads and writes fine. The drive is partitioned and they have names (music drive (E), work drive (F) and Misc Drive (G) ).

When i power down then start up again all the names change from their original names (listed above) to local disk E, local disk F and local disk G.

When i restart again it gives me the error "The request cannot be preformed due to an I/O device error.

When i restart once again the drives are accessable, and then names are correct and the process starts all over again in that exact order every single time. whats going on here?
