Okay so i go take a nap on the couch, i wake up and come to my room seeing a black screen, i restart my computer and POST it to see weird symbols on my Seagate 200GB IDE hard drive, it will not show up in device manager, my computer, partition magic, or windows computer management (storage section). could this be a bad hard drive?

could be a loose or faulty cable if you cannot see it in the device manager

but i use both main cables (split of course) for my 80GB IDE and the problem filled 200GB IDE, can it still be faulty if im running a XP on my 80GB?
