I have spent several evenings trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. I have an old Gateway G6-400 (pentium 2) that I have reformatted the harddrive ( "format c: /s by using a boot disk from a different computer) and nothing I do seems to get any CD-Rom support. When I try to boot "with CD-Rom support" I get a message that recognizes there is a driver but no "drive" so it "aborts". Any ideas?

Hi jashiatt,

Make sure in the BIOS that it detects the CDrom. And double check the jumpers on the CDrom to see if they are correctly placed.

This is most probably due to the fact that you don't have the mscdex.exe file loaded or it is missing.
