HD in MS-DOS mode

Hi,
I just installed a Windows 98 on a PC with one 12GB Western Digital hard drive and one CD-ROM on a MS7112Crev2 motherboard.
In device manager I got a yellow explanation mark on the primary IDE controller, so I checked in My Computer properties and it says “ Drive C is using MS-DOS compatibility mode file system”
I installed the motherboard software I downloaded from the Matsonic website and I do not have a NOIDE value in the registry under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\IOS, but my HD kepps running in ms-dos mode.
Thanks

Have you scanned for viruses? I seen some cause this. If you can get online, use the scan below.

Otherwise this will be a IDE (motherboard) driver issue. Might not hurt to try a new IDE cable.
